Biography

COOPER, Mollie Juanita, 62, a longtime resident of Birmingham and recently of Montgomery, died Monday, January 25, 2010, surrounded by family and friends, following a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Presnol Wyatt and Grace Vaughn Cooper. She is survived by her brother, Jerry W. Cooper (Donna); sister, Sherrill Cooper Bryan (Lawson); nephews Philip Bryan and Brad Cooper; a wonderful extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins; and her co-worker and dear friend, Danny Crowley.

Mollie was raised in Thomaston, Alabama (Marengo Country) and attended the University of West Alabama and UAB. For 25 years Mollie was a faithful and tireless worker in Computer Operations with EPL, Inc., Birmingham. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Birmingham, where she was in the Aldersgate Class and the United Methodist Women; and First United Methodist Church, Montgomery, where she was in the Seekers Class and served as an office volunteer each week. Mollie loved her church families and they have cared for her with the love of Christ. She and her family were blessed by the outstanding medical care she received in Dothan, Birmingham, and Montgomery.

A graveside service will be held in Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, AL,, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27. The memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, Montgomery, on Saturday, January 30, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. R. Lawson Bryan and Dr. Andrew R. Wolfe officiating.
