Biography

Elizabeth Taylor Lu, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 31, 2010 at home in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born in North Dakota and raised in Victoria, Virginia by Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Earnest Taylor. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a member of Delta Zeta sorority.
Mrs. Lu was a career teacher at different levels in the states of Virginia, Pennsylvania and Florida. She served as a nine-year missionary professor, supported by Mission to the World, at Christ's College in Taiwan from 1977 to 1986.
Mrs. Lu is survived by her husband of 11 years, Ming-Szu (Minstrel) Lu, daughter Diane Vernon of French Guiana, and grandson Benjamin Marcus of Paris, France. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Earnest Taylor, and brother Garrett Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at Young Meadows Presbyterian Church at 5780 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36117 at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday February 13.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to Christ’s College in care of Young Meadows Presbyterian Church. (Memo line: In Memory of Beth Lu). Burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Victoria, Virginia.
